I have to admit, I was scared today. I wasn't really sure that enough people would get out and vote despite the predictions. I started to read blogs, and I could not believe how ignorant people sounded. McCain, Palin...seriously? Do you have two neurons connected in your brain? Have you heard her speak?But I can rest assured now. I don't know if you watched Obama's acceptance speech, but I got goosebumps. Someone needs to shake things up in Washington and establish a new agenda. I am excited for the new year and for things to come.
If only the religious yahoos hadn't passed prop 8...things like that made me realize how little we've progressed. At least federal courts will overturn that.
